The Chinese internet regulator (Cyberspace Administration) has ordered major companies like ByteDance and Alibaba to halt purchases and testing of the RTX Pro 6000D chip made by Nvidia. This follows previous restrictions around other Nvidia AI‑chips, and is seen as part of China’s push to reduce reliance on foreign (especially U.S.) AI hardware.
