Across Uganda, young people are stepping into leadership roles  in schools, communities, and national platforms. They’re advocating for change, standing up for justice, and creating opportunities where none existed before.

Featured Changemakers:

• Shamim Nambassa, 25 – Former Makerere University Guild President, youth activist, and champion for mental health awareness on campuses.

• Joseph Opio, 23 – Youth council leader in Gulu, promoting peacebuilding programs among post-conflict youth and ex-child soldiers.

Why It Matters:
Uganda has one of the youngest populations in the world and with that comes power, vision, and responsibility. These youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow. They are leading today.
