Victoria University has announced the launch of three new National Council for Higher Education (NCHE)-accredited programmes, reinforcing its position as one of Uganda’s most forward-thinking institutions.
In a statement released on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the university said the new programmes are designed to equip learners with the advanced skills demanded in a fast-evolving global digital landscape.
The newly accredited programmes include:
🔹 Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education
Aimed at educators seeking to upgrade their teaching careers using modern, technology-driven instructional methods.
🔹 Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security & Digital Forensics
A programme built to develop cybersecurity professionals equipped to safeguard organisations from rising digital threats.
🔹 Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science
Designed to train students in AI, machine learning, and big data—technologies shaping the future of global innovation.
“Master the technologies powering tomorrow,” the university said, adding that the institution is committed to preparing students for real industry challenges with practical, industry-aligned training.
Victoria University emphasised that the three programmes represent its broader mandate to “think forward, lead change, and produce graduates ready to influence the future.”
