Katikamu North MP Denis Sekabira has petitioned Parliament over what he calls unacceptable delays in the Shs93 billion Luwero\u2013Kiwoko\u2013Butalangu road project, contracted to Dott Services Limited. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 29.7km road, launched on 9 June 2023 and meant to be upgraded from gravel to tarmac within 24 months, is only about 50 percent complete, with a revised deadline of 16 August 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sekabira says the slow progress and prolonged closures have crippled local trade, disrupted transport and exposed residents to choking dust. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his letter to the Speaker, he cites the section between Kiwoko and Luwero Don Fuel Station, which he says has been closed to motorists for a full year with no sign of expedited works. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is asking Parliament to investigate Dott Services\u2019 performance, compel a clear completion plan, and ensure temporary access and safety measures for affected road users and traders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
